Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MakaanPlan ("Service", "we", "us", or "our") at makaanplan.com, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

MakaanPlan provides AI-powered residential floor plan generation. Users describe their desired home layout in natural language; the AI generates 2D architectural floor plans with rooms, walls, doors, windows, dimensions, and furniture placement.

Important disclaimer: AI-generated floor plans are for planning and visualisation purposes only. They are not certified architectural or engineering drawings and should not be used as the sole basis for construction. Always consult a licensed architect or structural engineer before building.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@makaanplan.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Plan

Free accounts may create up to 2 projects, generate unlimited AI floor plans, and receive 3 free 3D renders per month. PDF export and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) generation require a paid subscription.

Paid Plans (Pro and Studio)

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as shown on our Pricing page. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, our merchant of record. LemonSqueezy's terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing. Prices are in USD and may exclude local taxes where applicable.

Changes to pricing

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes apply at your next renewal date.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until then. See our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content

You own the floor plans and designs you create using MakaanPlan. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

Our content

The MakaanPlan software, layout algorithms, visual design, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our software.

AI-generated content

Floor plans generated by the AI are provided to you under the terms above. We make no warranty that AI-generated designs are novel, unique, or free from similarity to other designs.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Generate designs for structures intended to harm persons or property.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service at scale.
• Share your account credentials with others or resell access to the Service.
• Use the Service to generate content that violates third-party intellectual property rights.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated plans will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakaanPlan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
