Notes on this 25×50 Ft layout
Five more feet than a standard 5 marla
A 25 × 50 ft plot is 5 ft deeper than the standard 25 × 45 ft 5-marla plot, and this plan spends that depth at the front. There is a porch (15 × 8 ft, a foot too narrow to park a car in) and a separate veranda (10 × 8 ft), then a living room and a full-depth kitchen (9.3 × 16 ft). At 149 sq ft, the kitchen is a third larger than the one in the 5-marla plan.
A master bedroom in name only
The master bedroom is 11 × 11 ft, 121 sq ft, the same size as Bedroom 3 and below the 144 sq ft the Studio recommends for a master. That is the plan's one flagged problem. Bringing it to 12 × 12 ft means borrowing a foot from the passage side or from the bedroom beside it, and the Studio's check clears as soon as it reaches 144 sq ft.
Where the passages go
A 4 ft hallway crosses the full width of the house, and a 4 × 22 ft passage runs back between the bedrooms: 188 sq ft of circulation in all. The two bathrooms (5 × 11 ft each) sit side by side at the back: Bathroom 1 is shared, off the passage, and Bathroom 2 is attached to Bedroom 2. Shortening the passage by moving the bathrooms beside it is the most effective way to win back area for the bedrooms.
Who it suits
This plan suits a family that cooks seriously and wants a veranda, and can live with three similar bedrooms and no ensuite for the master. If an attached bathroom for the parents matters more than a large kitchen, give the kitchen's extra depth to the master bedroom instead.
