Most people walk into an architect's office with a plot size and a list of rooms in their head. The first rounds of sketches, and the fees for them, go on working out what you already half-knew.
A house is hard to describe in words
“A big kitchen and a proper drawing room” means something different to everyone in the family. A drawing to scale settles it: the room either fits or it doesn't.
Mistakes are cheapest on paper
A staircase that blocks a door, or a car porch too narrow for the car, costs nothing to fix in a drawing and a great deal once the concrete is poured.
How MakaanPlan works
Start from an AI draft, a ready-made plan for a common plot size, or a blank plot. Every path ends in the same editor, where the drawing is the design: sizes, areas and checks all come from the geometry you see.
Answer a short wizard
Plot width and depth in feet or metres, its shape, which side the road is on, floors, bedrooms, bathrooms, a garage, and extra rooms such as a study, prayer room or store. The AI turns your answers into a first draft.
Finish it yourself
The draft is a starting point, not the answer. Move walls, resize or reshape rooms, add doors, windows, stairs and furniture. Checks such as a room with no door stay visible while you work.
See it in 3D
Look around a 3D model built from the same drawing, beside the plan. It is free, so the whole family can see the house before anyone commits to it.
Works from anywhere
Design from Dubai, London or Riyadh and share the plan with family back home. Free exports carry a watermark; the Home Pass for a home gives the full-resolution dimensioned PDF, PNG and 3D model file.

MakaanPlan does not produce stamped, approved or structural drawings. Authorities such as LDA, DHA or Bahria Town require a registered architect for approval; MakaanPlan is the stage before that.
