Notes on this 3 Marla layout
No hallway, by design
On an 18 ft wide plot there is no room for a corridor, so this plan has none. The living room (13 × 16 ft) faces the road. Behind it are the kitchen and Bedroom 2, and Bedroom 1 is at the back. Rooms open into one another, and every square foot goes to rooms rather than passage. The trade-off is privacy: reaching the back bedroom means walking through the rooms in front of it.
Light on a plot this narrow
The drawing gives every room a window, but on an 18 ft plot in a row of houses the side walls almost always touch the neighbours. In practice only the front and back walls can take windows. The kitchen and Bedroom 2, in the middle of the house, would then need a light shaft or a skylight. Plan the shaft now: it is the difference between a house that works and one that needs lights on at noon.
Seventy square feet of storage
There are two store rooms, 4 × 10 ft and 5 × 6 ft. That is generous storage for a house this size, and it is also nearly enough for a second small bathroom: a 5 × 6 ft space fits a WC, a basin and a shower. For a family of four or more, a second bathroom is usually worth more than a store.
Going up
With no car porch and no hallway, the ground floor is already as efficient as 648 sq ft allows, so the next step is a second floor. A G+1 roughly doubles the space. Put the staircase against a side wall so it does not cut the living room in half, and move one or both bedrooms upstairs.
